COLOR: Light brown to a dark tan. Sapwood and heartwood have similar colours and grain patterns. Sapwood tends to be lighter in colour.

CHARACTERISTICS: Trees tend to grow in large stands with trunk diameters up to 6ft and heights of 50ft. wide, long boards are commonly available.

COMMON USES: Furniture, Furniture components, Kitchen cabinets, Parquet flooring, Veneer, etc.

MOVEMENT IN SERVICE: Seasoned wood is reported to have moderate dimensional stability, and tends to show medium movement after manufacture.
